PHILADELPHIA NAVY YARD – BUILDING 531 RENOVATION
SPR was contracted to return a building constructed in 1939 to its original look. This restoration included demolition and abatement, as well as new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, masonry, fire protection, and underground utilities.

WEST POINT RANGE 9 ADMIN FACILITY (DESIGN BUILD)
Project involved the demolition of existing wood workshop and design build for the new building program which includes a dividable classroom to accommodate 60 students, restroom facilities, a weapons storage vault, a space office suite to accommodate 6-7 full-time personnel, and garage size for two rage maintenance vehicles. The new training building is one story and approximately 4,800 SF.

SPR was successful in effectively coordinating all sub-contractors and Philadelphia City to ensure that they all are aligned with the overall schedule. All issues were dealt diligently and proactively. For issues, Feasible and alternative solutions with cost/time impacts were presented to ensure timely decision and execution. SPR is thankful to previous and new NAVFAC representatives for their full support during the execution of this project. As discussed in the pre-construction meeting, SPR and NAVFAC worked as one team during the entire project.

Execution location being a long distance location, SPR Project management team established good local infrastructure and was involved in all project details and effectively tracked and resolved open issues during the execution in collaboration with GSA project management team.

At the beginning of the project SPR developed comprehensive schedule leading to CCD. Schedule was updated several time due to dynamics of Design Phase (last minute request to add environmental and cultural site assessment) and Execution Phase (coordination with FBI security team). Schedule status was always shared in weekly meetings and CCD was always maintained and achieved. Coordinated 10+ sub-contractors and multiple purchase items to keep the overall schedule. SPR believes that we have done very good performance in maintaining schedule.
